It was back to the Creek for July 4th. although this time, we brought Andy's family with us. They had never been to my family's property at the Creek, so it was fun getting to show it to them and enjoy the relaxing surroundings. Probably the most fun we had was taking the canoe down to the river via 4-wheelers and having a canoe race. We only had the one canoe so we partnered up, timed ourselves on racing out from the boat ramp, around a little island several hundered yards out, and then back to where we started. Andy's mom had gotten sick that day, so Andy went with me than again with his brother Evan, but it didn't matter because Janice and Todd beat the rest of us! It was fun. We also had fun playing cards, riding 4 wheelers around nearby trails, eating big breakfasts, cooking out for dinner, and watching Billy play in the creek. Billy really liked playing in the river too, and building tents and hiding with his aunt and uncles.
