Benjamin James Barr arrived on Tuesday, Nov. 4th at 8:23 a.m. He is our election day baby. I went into labor on Monday having mild contractions off and on throughout the day but they became a little more serious after dinner around 8:00. I made sure they were the real thing this time and labored at home for a while before we left for the hospital around 1:30 a.m I was 6 cm dilated when we arrived at the hospital and a few hours later, Benjamin arrived! We did not know whether he was a boy or a girl so that was really fun finding out! There at the hospital to join in the excitement was Andy's mom and my mom and dad. We can't be more thankful for dedicated parents who don't care to get up in the middle of the night! Many other family and friends came to visit later that day and the next. Andy and I are both excited to have another boy. Benjamin weighed 9 lbs and 1 oz and is 22 inches long. The name Benjamin is just one we both liked alot. The middle name James is after my dad whose first name is James. Also both my grandfather and Andy's grandfather on our dad's sides name was James. So Billy and Benjamin are both named after their grandfathers. We came home Thursday evening after a good hospital stay and are doing well. We feel so blessed right now just to have both Billy and Benjamin. It really is a miracle how God creates us and brings us into the world. What a beautiful baby! He is perfect. Got a definite basketball player on your hands. :) And you don't look like you've just given birth. :) Hope to be joining your ranks soon! Take care and keep in touch.
