Edisto Island

We were blessed to get to spend a week at Edisto Island, SC with Andy's mom, brother Evan, sister Janice, brother-n-law Todd and Todd's parents The weather was nice and sunny and very hot! But we managed to keep from getting too sunburned (not a problem for Andy). The challenge was keeping Billy from going too far out in the waves. Quite interesting for me being 6 months pregnant and Billy being a pretty quick 2 year old. We had to tag team to keep him within reach, but he had alot of fun in the waves and in the sand. He is definitely still a tractor boy, playing with tractors in the sand on the "roads" we created. Also, Todd's big hole in the sand was fun and covering Billy's legs up with sand. We also had fun in the pool -- it was only 2 1/2 feet deep in the shallowest part, so Billy could stand on his tiptoes. We played lots of Rook, ate some really good seafood, and enjoyed the resort we were at where you had free gooney golf, and a great place to walk, bicycle, and swim. Andy and I also enjoyed an evening out to ourselves in Charleston which is about 1 hour away. Charleston has become one of our favorite cities. The bridge, the huge historic homes, the great seafood and atmosphere definitely is a big part of the reason why. But even more, we have just had some special times the 2 times we have been. We have been expecting a child both times we have been which has meant some special conversations and thoughts on getting ready for a 1st and 2nd child.
